Durango was so great, it is beautiful there and we had such a wonderful time with the Robinettes. Their home is GORGEOUS (Alex designed) and the company and scenery were incredible. Love Durango. The kids had a blast, the mini-Robinettes are such sunny, loving kids -- Skyler had so much fun. I had some great runs with pretty awesome scenery and Marc, Alex, and Robbie enjoyed the lovely weather on their bikes.
The drive from Durango to Boulder went OK until Skyler pried the DVD player apart and it stopped working. THEN it got really, really long. Really, really long. Luckily I had "Elmo's Monster
Maker" on my iPhone - that bought us about 45 minutes. Of a 7 hour car trip. HA! But we made it safely and that is always a blessing.
Boulder is lovely as usual and even more fun this year now that Sky can be my little adventure compatriot. Though sometimes this compatriot is not so willing, and I have to sling her over my shoulder, like today when we grocery shopped with her hanging upside down over my shoulder. She is a willful (!!!!!!) little
one. She likes to say "ummm" and then spin on her heels and run the opposite direction. Really fast. Which is a little stressful when trying to hike her and Sue in an area that has had recent mountain lion sightings!I prep
aid a hefty ($$$) deposit at a preschool that came highly recommended only to send her there two days and decide I wasn't feeling it. Lovely location, awesome yard, and really a nice owner. But, I could not get it out of my head that she was going to wander out their front door. It just wasn't adequately child-proofed. And a little too chaotic. So, I totally lucked out and found another (highly recommended) tiny little Montessori just a three minute walk down the street where she can go for a couple hours in the morning and hang with some buds. She went today and loved it. Sweet!Miss our friends and family, looking forward to seeing you soon!!! OXOXO
